Presentation of Tsinandali Estate's Distinguished Wine Collection

On September 12, Tsinandali Estate hosted a presentation of a special collection of its finest wines. Guests had the opportunity to taste wines that have earned particular recognition among wine lovers over the years and are now virtually unavailable on the market.
Produced in very limited quantities, the wines in the collection were named after three legendary figures of Georgian culture - Nato Vachnadze, one of Georgia's most celebrated early film actresses; Veriko Anjaparidze, a renowned theatre and film actress; and Sofiko Chiaureli, an acclaimed actress known for her remarkable career in Georgian cinema and theatre.
This year, on October 3, Sofiko Chiaureli would have turned 90. The story behind the collection also reflects an interesting connection between Georgian cinema and wine culture. Giorgi Shengelaia, a renowned Georgian film director and the son of legendary actress Nato Vachnadze, was also involved in winemaking. At the time, the tasting room at Tsinandali Estate featured a special corner dedicated to Nato Vachnadze, where wines produced by Shengelaia were presented.
During the event, guests of Tsinandali Estate had the chance to discover these rare wines while remembering and celebrating some of the legendary figures of Georgian cinema and theatre.
